Chun update
Well, the poor little wretch had a rotten night. He actually only threw up once during the night, but he was uncomfortable, and thirsty, and needed interaction and comfort and carefully monitored sips of dilute apple juice. I don't think he got much sleep after 2:30, though he got lots of rest. He's been lying on the couch watching TV, nibbling soda cracker (finally a possibility), and sipping dilute apple juice and Hannah Montana yoghurt. I'd like to try kids' Ibuprophen again, and get his temp down and him more comf, but not surprisingly he's leery about the risk of more projectile vomiting. So I'll wait till he's got another soda cracker or so inside him.

No driving to Evanston* today, and happily my mentor called to reschedule last night. I suspect I'll be rescheduling my evening premarital, as much as anything for my own comfort. I didn't get enough sleep last night, either, and feel a bit queasy myself. And tomorrow's meeting in Cheyenne** is pretty high-priority.

*Evanston, Wyoming-- which is fortunate from the viewpoint of life being Possible, and unfortunate from the perspective of being able to meet [info]revjohnny. But I'll be in Chicago in November for AAR meetings, D.V..

** 260 miles away.

here's hoping the cracker(s) continue to stay where they're wanted.
Also - knowing how tight travel schedules can be (especially when trying to merge with my own chaos) i won't be disappointed if it doesn't work. But do let me know if you'll have a spare hour while in Chicago :)

Hope the little guy is feeling like himself very soon, and that you don't have to share the bug with him.

He's doing well. He's kept everything down today, including, finally, Ibuprophen. (I tried one dose yesterday afternoon, had it projectile vomited right back, and desisted until about noon, when he'd got a fair amount of buffering inside him.) He was well enough that we went out on a few urgent errands, and as we set out, he said that he wanted Pizza Hut pizza for dinner. Should he still want it when he wakes from his nap, he may have it.

I have a splinter of his bug, but it's not much problem.

Sending more healing energies to the little one.
Looking forward to November.

Me too! And he's doing much, much better. :) At this point the only signs he's been ill are a desire to be carried, and that he's still running warm.

Hope he continues to get better. Watch out for red foods - not from any dye worries or such, just they are harder to clean up when they reappear.
Hope you escape it ( I tend to live on Ginger ale and soda crackers just in case when it makes the rounds at our house). If he doesn't lose the fever soon, you may want to run him to the doc ( or call and ask) to get a strep test. Not trying to panic or scare you, just the voice of many experiences,LOL.

I appreciate your experience! While he was vomiting he had only Sprite and dilute apple juice to vomit, and he's been doing dandy, or dandyish, for about 24 hours now.
